Serpentine Genuine, a PrimaTek® pigment, is one of the most unique watercolors available to artists. A Daniel Smith exclusive, Serpentine Genuine is ground from an Australian variety of Stichtite, a soft stone often used for carving amulets. When used in watercolor, this lovely green is bright and semi-transparent with bold scarlet granulation. The leaves of your waterlily come alive with texture and form. Serpentine Genuine gives a remarkable look to nearly any subject.

Quinacridone Burnt Scarlet, shares the qualities of all our popular Quinacridone pigments. Bright and transparent with a gem- like clarity, Quinacridone Burnt Scarlet is especially useful for glazes and mixes. Mixed with Serpentine Genuine the resulting brown is the rich color of cinnamon and makes a perfect base for the depths and mystery of a still pool. When thinned with water, Quinacridone Burnt Scarlet is a soft, dusty- rose shade.
