Daniel Smith Extra Fine^TM Watercolor - Manganese Violet

A lightfast medium to high staining pigment, Manganese Violet is sometimes called Permanent Mauve.

Manganese Violet contains more of its complement which tends to gray in mixing. Treated as an advantage, this mid-range violet can stand alone in an otherwise low-key painting surrounded by soft grayed mixtures. Chromium Green Oxide, with its flat opaque neutral green properties and softening ability, and our Historic Mineral Pigments go well with Manganese Violet, as does Manganese Blue Hue.
