Urania’s Desk by BEST is made for the pastel painter who wants a convenient, well-organized place to work. Originally designed for world-famous pastelist Urania Christy Tarbet, it looks like an elegant oak console when not in use, but blooms into pastel storage trays and much-needed workspace. Though designed for pastelists, Urania’s desk is also a perfect companion for the oil painter or watercolorist. A high quality adjustable easel is attached to the back of the desk. It adjusts from flat to a forward tilt and and slides out of sight for storage.

The doors swing open to support two 26" x 18" x 1-1/2" pivoting drawers that hold a huge selection of pastel sticks or paint tubes. Two large stainless steel canisters are included, with space available for two additional canisters.
