This textured clay ground is applied to a wood panel to simulate the absorbency and texture of cold pressed paper but with major advantages. Colors are much richer and more vibrant than when used on watercolor paper. Endlessly lift, layer and glaze color without the risk of buckling, lint residue or surface damage. These archivally prepared panels will not wrinkle, tear or yellow. Stands alone, glass is optional!
