New Daniel Smith Autograph Series Sable Mix Watermedia Brushes combine Kolinsky Red Sable, Russian Blue Squirrel, and Russian Black Sable, along with small amounts of synthetic har. You get all the benefits of the finest natural hairs for watercolor; the pointing and edging of Kolinsky Sable, the water-holding capacity and wash strokes of squirrel and the stiffness and durability of Black Sable. Seamless, nickel-plated brass ferrules are rust-resistant. Enameled handles are planed on sixe sides for a confortable grip and to prevent rolling. And the prices are great, allowing you to indulge in large brushes.

Rounds have a large reservoir belly to supply the brush tip with color. Even the largest sizes maintain sharp points and their large bellies allow you to use them for mop techniques.

Flats have a thick belly that feeds a sharp painting edge to lay down smooth, even washes. They are a well-priced alternative to Kolinsky Sable wash brushes.
