Walnut Drawing Ink
Old Master warmth ... modern
lightfastness
Walnut Drawing Ink is a finely pigmented
water-based ink that works well with a brush or dip
pen. It's great for all kinds of drawings. In washes,
it handles like a watercolor, with good layering and
lifting capabilities. Its rich color resembles traditional
walnut-based inks, but will not fade and, at 7.9 pH,
is far less acidic. Packed in plastic bottles with
leakproof tops.
The Walnut Drawing Stick is a pen
and a brush in one. The fine chisel nib
of the pen is carved of bamboo.
After dipping, its ink reservoir
will supply about a 36 line of
ink. The felt brush on the
other end is shaped for
a variety of stroke
widths. It measures
8-3/4" long.

J. Herbin Speciality Inks--The J. Herbin company, begun in 1670,
took part in the great exhibitions, including the London show of 1829
where it received a medal for the exceptional quality of its inks and seals.
Pigmented Metallic inks are best used with broad nibs on dark-col-
ored paper. The Invisible Ink becomes blue when you
warm the paper and disappears when the paper
is cold. Always rinse your nibs,
ink pot or fountain pen before
using a new color.
The Pearlescent inks
come in handsome old-fashioned
inkwells with integral pen rests and are
effective on dark or light colored paper.

Sennelier Shellac-Based Inks are so
versatile--think of them as colored India
inks. Made with a traditional shellac base,
they dry to a waterproof, transparent satin finish
and come in an array of deep, brilliant hues. Colors can be mixed,
thinned with water and layered when dry. Apply with a brush or drawing pen.
Clean instruments promptly with warm, soapy water.
Sennelier Drawing Ink Thinner is excellent for reducing pigment load while
maintaining the unique satin finish of shellac ink. Useful for diluting and mixing colors.
Sennelier China Ink is an intense deep-black for drawing and writing. This
waterproof, varnish-based ink is excellent for calligraphy, brushes and airbrush. Not
recommended for use with fountain pens. Colors shown in listed order.
