Rembrandt Soft Pastels--These soft pastels are made with a fine
kaolin china clay binder which ensures a velvety, smooth consistency in
every color. Kaolin also produces a pastel devoid of hard bits and sharp
edges, which might cause shiny spots or scratch es during application.
Made in Holland since 1900, Rembrandt pastels are very popular
worldwide. The palette includes 203 high-brilliance colors. The 225-color
set, with multiples of key colors, comes in a hardwood box. The other
sets come in sturdy cardboard boxes. Half-sticks offer softer consistency.

Unison Colour Soft Pastels are simply beautiful. Dense pure pig-
ment is mixed and hand formed in the studio of John Hersey in the hills
of scenic Northumberland, England. Pigments are mixed with very specific
binders to produce an incredibly soft pastel with no hard edges. Another
exceptional feature of Unison is absolute solubility all colors mix well
with water, producing beautiful watercolor effects with no graininess.
