Somerset Paper

Use these 100% cotton English papers for all printmaking techniques, watermedia or pastel.

Somerset is strong and sensitive, great for embossing, deeply etched plates and multicolor printing.

The satin nish has a slightly smoother surface than either the textured or velvet and is preferred

for intaglio printing. Acid-free, 4 deckle edges. (^ Preferred paper for digital printing.)

Strathmore 500 Series Bristol

Known for its durable surface, this classic sheet is 100% cotton, acid-free, and buffered with

calcium carbonate. It withstands repeated erasures and reworking without feathering. The vellum

surface is designed for pencil, charcoal and pastel. The plate surface is more suitable for ne pencil

and pen work, and is also a popular alternative to traditional watercolor paper. The paint color is

vivid and stands up on the less absorbent surface. The board, when wet, will curl. Most watercolor-

ists tape or staple it to a rigid surface.

Rives Lightweight

This 100% cotton, acid-free, mouldmade paper works well for printing small etchings, wood-

blocks, or lithographs, as well as for drawing. The surface is supple and ink-receptive. The

19" x 26" has 1 true deckle, 2 tears and 1 cut, and the 26" x 40" has 2 true deckle edges and 2 cuts.

The White and Buff are close in color.
