Molly Hashimoto

Seattle resident Molly Hashimoto’s work has been published as notecards and holiday cards by Pomegranate Communications in California. Two new holiday designs will be available for 2005. Her work appeared in the Sierra Club journals Wildflowers and Butterflies and The Natural World, two gift books published in 2003. Her watercolors were chosen to appear on the cover and inside pages of the North Cascades Institute’s 2004 catalog. She has illustrated numerous CD covers for Elizabeth Falconer, koto master and storyteller.

Her work has been exhibited at Northwest Watercolor Society annual shows, the White Bird Gallery in Cannon Beach, Oregon, the Michael Pierce Gallery in Seattle and the Whatcom Museum of Art in Bellingham, Washington. In 2004, her watercolor painting won First Prize in the Shoreline Arts Festival in Washington. In 2004, her paintings were on exhibit in St. Charles, Missouri at the Foundry Art Centre’s inaugural show The Adventure Begins, a signature event commemorating the bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Her painting, “A Range of Lofty Mountains,” won an Award of Merit.
