What a terrific product!

How would you describe the quality of this product?
After I finished the Blue Bird painting of the “Spring” Learn to Paint set, I was hooked. It was similar to reading a good book, and you miss the characters at the end. I immediately ordered all the other Step-by Step sets.
Was this resource helpful?
I have now completed all four paintings of the “Spring” Learn to Paint set, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I am new to watercolor painting, so the projects were a challenge for me. I learned a lot about mixing and shading, and I had a blast. I can’t wait to get started on the next set. I found the instructors on the DVD informative and easy to follow. It should be mentioned, however, that the instructor for the “Cherry Blossom” painting had her head in the path way of the painting irritatingly frequently. A better camera angle is in order on that one.
What prompted you to purchase this resource?
I wanted something for a beginner that would introduce me to some new techniques and paints. I wanted a kit I could afford.
Was this product true to its value?
The paints are heavenly. Even a novice like me can note their creamy texture, interesting granularity and amazing color. However, paint quantity was a little sparse. The instructors were clearly using more than the tiny dab issued in the kit. While the instructors were luxuriously mixing away, I was hoping I would have enough to finish and realizing mistakes would not be a good idea. In the end there was always enough to finish, and I was left yearning to have them all.
The brush was on the tawdry side, but easily replaced. I loved the paper quality and the little pallet was perfect.
What was your overall experience with this product?
It was a well organized, thoughtfully prepared kit with excellent instruction. Well done Daniel Smith and crew.
