A staple, just like my whites

How would you describe the quality of this product?
Just like ALL Daniel Smith paints, this one is top notch in every respect. Buff Titanium has become a staple in my paint box and were I still actively teaching, I'd be telling my students to get it. While I primarily use it to lighten colours, I also find it is a good base colour for pale beaches; I can lighten it with white and I can shift it to cooler or warmer as I perceive such changes "out there". It is better at lightening some colours, but I haven't done enough formal testing to know what the difference is. I think that the very clear transparent colours, such as the quinacridones, lighten up without turning chalky, whereas those that are less clear tend to turn chalky if I overdo the white, and they do not when I use buff titanium.

Yes; true DS quality. I have used your paints since about 1978, perhaps earlier. (You were very new then!)
