The Watercolor III Objective is to learn how to refine your drawings for watercolor with the aid of color, value and key element studies. Often drawings do not translate well into color because of composition faults that detract the eye from a pleasant viewing of the painting. In this class we will learn how to see our composition and ready it for its final work into watercolor. You will need color pencils. The set chosen below is only a set of 12 but you are welcome to purchase a larger set if you like. You will need to have very soft graphite pencils (6B or higher) or charcoal pencils to complete your value study for this class. If you don't already have these pencils, they are listed below. We'll also be working with large sheets of tracing paper as well as watercolor paper so be sure you have all your supplies.
