Fredrix Archival Watercolor Canvas Board

Fedrix Archival Watercolor Canvas - An innovative surface that is durable, archival, acid-free and non-buckling

It is a fine weave cotton canvas with a specially formulated gesso coating. It won't tear like paper and handles surface scraping and scratching with ease. It performs much like cold press or rough watercolor paper.

Use Fredrix Watercolor Canvas with all kinds of watermedia and mixed acrylics, including transparent and opaque watercolors, acrylics, watercolor inks and watercolor pencils. Apply paint to the stretched canvas using wet on wet or wet on dry techniques. When brushed with water, the canvas stays damp longer than paper, extending working time.

Mistakes are easy to fix -- you can even wash over the complete image and start over! To recover whites or highlights, using masking fluid, or just lift color with a wet brush or moist cloth. Soft synthetic brushes work especially well with Fredrix Watercolor Canvas.

To frame Fredrix Watercolor Canvas without a mat or glass, spray with a fixative, such as Blair 201 Matte Spray Clear, then finish with a protective UV-resistant spray, such as Krylon® #1305 Clear Acrylic Coat. Then, frame as you would any canvas or panel. Paintings can also be framed in classic watercolor style, under mat and glass.

I spent a decade looking for the right medium before finding DANIEL SMITH Painting Medium for Oils and Alkyds. Since discovering it I haven't thought about medium since... thank goodness!
I can think about painting instead of finding the right products. Thank You Daniel Smith!
