This brush combines Kolinsky Red Sable, Russian Blue Squirrel and Russian Black Sable, along with small amounts of synthetic hair. You get all the benefits of the finest natural hairs for watercolor: the pointing and edging of Kolinsky Sable, the water-holding capacity and wash strokes of squirrel and the stiffness and durability of Black Sable. The seamless, nickel-plated brass ferrule is rust-resistant. The enameled handle is planed on six sides for a comfortable grip and to prevent rolling. And the price is great, allowing you to indulge in a larger brush. This round has a large reservoir belly to supply the brush tip with color. Even the largest size maintains sharp points and the large belly allows it to be used for mop techniques. It is a well-priced alternatives to Kolinsky Sable wash brushes.
