AkuaKolor Fluid Water-Based Monotype Inks have a rich working consistency ideal for all monotype techniques. It stays wet on the plate for a very long time, allowing many hours to create an image. Use it right out of the bottle for brushwork or for rolling up thin coats of ink onto monotype plates. Add Tack Thickener to thicken AkuaKolor for heavier applications. AkuaKolor's transparency makes it ideal for printing many layers of ink on top of each other. It can also be used with Akua Intaglio for multi-plate overlays or viscosity monotypes. Made with the highest quality lightfast pigments and gum binders, AkuaKolor prints best on dry paper and cleans up easily with water.

Since being introduced to DANIEL SMITH materials in 2001, I have only two pigments left that aren’t DANIEL SMITH Watercolors! All my brushes are either Isabey or DANIEL SMITH 44 Series. The Isabey are for sentimental reasons only and don’t hold a point over time like the DANIEL SMITH.
