Akua Intaglio Water-based Ink, Titanium White PW6, 300gm Jar
Akua Intaglio Water-based Ink is made with the highest quality binders and lightfast pigments. Formulated for intaglio or etching, it also works well for monotype.
When used on intaglio plates, it wipes off cleanly from the plate, while plenty of ink remains in the grooves. The result: good, sharp-contrast prints. Akua Intaglio produces fine details, subtle aquatints and strong blacks.
Use the ink straight from the jar for all types of intaglio plates and monotypes. With the addition of water-mixable Akua Oil, you can stiffen Akua Intaglio and increase plate tone. Slow drying, the ink will never skin or harden in the jar or when left on the ink slab.
Print Akua Intaglio on dry or damp printmaking paper (the manufacturer especially recommends Copperplate by Hahnemuhle); prints can be re-soaked immediately after printing when handled carefully. Ink is permanent once dry.
Akua Intaglio cleans up with a dry rag, followed by soap and water. It is safe to use without special ventilation, toxic solvents or fireproof containers. Akua Intaglio is labeled non-toxic and conforms to ASTMD 4236.
