SMI Studio Furniture is sturdy, good looking and well priced. They're built on heavy-duty plywood frames with furniture-grade veneers and can stack to maximize storage space. The 2" deep drawers, made with solid wood sides and backs and tempered hardboard bottoms, slide on wooden runners. Each drawer holds approximately 50 lbs. of paper. (The back 3" of each drawer is covered with a 1/8" hardboard hood to prevent curling.) Matching top caps and 3-1/4" high foot bases are sold separately. Up to 3 flat file units (any size) can be stacked, with only one cap and base needed.
Unfinished Birch Files are made of beautiful white birch plywood and can be stained or painted for a custom look. Drawer handles are almond-coloredplastic. Some assembly required.
