Ampersand Hardbord, 3/4 in Frame Cradled, 16 inx20 inIf you want to prepare your own board, start with Hardbord. It is the base surface for all the Ampersand products. Made in the U.S. from domestic hardwood fibers permanently bound under heat and pressure, it provides stiffness, strength and hardness-and resists warping and moisture penetration. It does not contain oil and accepts all types of gesso grounds. These boards are available in a 1/8" panel or cradled with a 3/4" frame for more support and to allow work to be hung unframed.
