a pancake griddle or hot tray heated to 150-175 degrees, and keep the paint contained and dust-free during storage. Hot Cakes are made with a base of
pharmaceutical-grade beeswax and fine damar resin, colored with lightfast, artist-grade pigments chosen to withstand the heat requirements of encaustic
painting. Create thin, transparent glazes or heavy impasto textures, model the surface, rework by re-applying heat and revel in this unique, tactile and
