Supracolor pencils support a wide range of techniques and support materials:

Block work and details: The lead is suitable for both depending on how it is sharpened.

Hatching: Laying down marks on the support surface in either one color in varying strengths or overlaying colors and shading off.

Watercolouring effects: Achieved with a moist brush directly on the support surface. Sketch out a drawing and using the tip of the lead as a watercolouring tool - by picking up color from the lead with the brush. This technique can be used to blend colors and combine pencil drawing with watercolor.

Smudging: Spray your drawing with water and smudge sections with a finger. Dry into wet...carefully draw into a still-damp color wash with a Supracolor pencil. Powdered pigment...first draw the subject with a moist brush, then rub pigment off the pencil point onto the wet areas with sandpaper. Blow off loose pigment.

Bundling : Draw with several color pencils together. Spray and smudge as desired.

Support materials: Ideal for use on paper, cardboard, wood, stone, leather, fabric, terracotta, etc. Not suitable for use on smooth surfaces like glass, plastic, photographic paper, etc. Art work should be sprayed with a fixative or protected with a solvent-based varnish.
