Papyrus is made in Egypt from choice reeds which are thinly sliced, pounded flat and then soaked in water. Several layers are pressed together at right angles and left to dry in the sun. Because the sheets are individually made, expect variations in edge, color and texture.
Use papyrus for painting, drawing, printing, collage or decorative work. It may buckle when used with watermedia. Light papyrus is a striated gold or yellow ochre color.
Size is approximate.
