Genuine Papyrus, 70gm/m², 16" x 24" Sheet, Dark Papyrus
Papyrus is made in Egypt from choice reeds which are thinly sliced, pounded flat and then soaked in water. Several layers are pressed together at right angles and left to dry in the sun. Because the sheets are individually made, expect variations in edge, color and texture.

Use papyrus for painting, drawing, printing, collage or decorative work. It may buckle when used with watermedia. Dark papyrus varies in tone from burnt sienna to dark brown-the darker colors result from "aging" the fibers in water.
