DANIEL SMITH Limited Edition Extra Fine Watercolor Triad 'Hibiscus'

The DANIEL SMITH Limited Edition "Hibiscus" Extra Fine Watercolor Triad
The vibrant energy of hibiscus blossoms and their sunny surroundings inspire a playful approach to painting. Add the clear skies and the warm air of the tropics and you have the perfect recipe for a colorful adventure. While each color stands alone as a single-note stunner, the magic of this trio is in bold mixtures and surprising subtle washes.

Hibiscus

Cobalt Teal Blue, a lovely green-blue. This single pigment color glowsùlight in tone but bright in color. Often underestimated, this bold watercolor offers a multitude of unique properties, making it essential in mixtures. Use it to tone down bright colors (a mixture with Opera Pink creates a rich mauve) or create interesting granulation in washes. Cobalt Teal Blue is a non-staining pigment that lifts very easily, great for creating soft edges and highlights.

Hibiscus

Opera Pink, was developed by popular demand. So many Daniel Smith customers requested this brilliant blend that we responded with a limited edition mixture of magenta and fluorescent pigment. Say goodbye to drab color and give your paintings personality with this bright, singing pink. Clean transparency and subtle granulation produce a very soft wash dappled with bright pockets of pink.

HibiscusCadmium Yellow Light Hue, is pure, fresh sunshine. This precise blend of pigments was developed in our laboratory to match the color and working properties of traditional Cadmium Yellow Light without the health concerns of Cadmium pigments. The resulting watercolor shines! Create fiery oranges by mixing with Opera Pink or remarkable granulating greens with Cobalt Teal Blue.

I spent a decade looking for the right medium before finding DANIEL SMITH Painting Medium for Oils and Alkyds. Since discovering it I haven't thought about medium since... thank goodness!
I can think about painting instead of finding the right products. Thank You Daniel Smith!
