Phthalo Blue (RS) is a remarkably saturated acrylic with a high tinting strength. The (RS) stands for “Red Shade” and true to its name this shade of blue is close to purple on the color spectrum. In masstone this pigment is nearly black and tints with white reveal both the high intensity and slight violet tone of this paint. Use sparingly in mixtures for bold color and thin with medium for transparent glazes.
