is a beautiful, versatile earth color with the ruddy warmth of redwood, ancient pottery or a sunset-lit peublo. Falling between yellow ochre and burnt sienna, it is a wonderful portrait color. Light, transparent washes create a range of glowing skin tones. On cold pressed or rough paper, it settles and granulates nicely.
