Daniel Smith Extra FineTM Watercolor - Cobalt Violet

This pigment creates glowing shadows with interesting granulation. An inorganic pigment, it is considered transparent, non-staining (or low-tinting) and ideal for glazing methods. Cobalt Violet's ability to create soft edges, to lift and to mix readily makes it a valuable contribution to watercolor palettes.

I completely love the DANIEL SMITH line of watercolors! They are the best I’ve used, and as a veteran teacher of over 30 years, I’ve tried many brands. Other brands fade when dried, and can often require multiple glazes to reach full potency.
