Many fine artists use gouache for adding color and highlights to watercolor paintings. Gouache is also one of the primary painting mediums of designers, illustrators and graphic artists. Like all Winsor & Newton products, their Designer's Gouache is top quality. The gold and silver metallics are subject to oxidation. This can be prevented by thinning with distilled water only and finishing with a coat of Picture Varnish.
