Charbonnel makes three traditional ball grounds that require the use of a brayer or roller for application to a heated plate. Vernis Graveur Ultraflex is a liquid hard ground for use on all types of metal plates. Although thin in body, it has good acid resistance. It can be thinned or removed with solvent, such as mineral spirits.
