Awagami Kozo Natural Paper, 42gsm, 25in x 38inKozo Natural by Awagami
Kozo, or Kozo-shi ("shi" meaning paper), refers to paper made from mulberry bark fiber, which is plentiful and easy to grow. Throughout Japan's history, more than 90% of papers were made with kozo. The fiber is quite long and strong, yet very supple. Used mainly for block printing and calligraphy, Kozo also serves as the base paper for shoji screens, umbrellas, lanterns, fans and Yuzen-patterned papers. Kozo Natural is handmade from acid-free kozo/hemp/sulphite pulp. It has a faint laid pattern and a soft surface with 4 deckle edges.
