Sennelier Extra Fine Egg Tempera, Medium, 21ml Tube
The favored medium of the early Renaissance painters, egg tempera is experiencing a revival of popularity. Sennelier Extra Fine Egg Tempera uses a classic egg and linseed oil emulsion, creating a paint that dries to the silky matte finish characteristic of the medium. Egg tempera can be applied with either a brush or painting knife to stiff paper, prepared panels and walls. It thins and cleans up with water. Forms are typically built through short, layered strokes which, combined with the luminous quality of the paint, give a distinctive, timeless look. The color of egg tempera changes very little as it dries, making these paints a useful tool for conservators and restorers as well as fine artists.
