These soft pastels are made with a fine kaolin china clay binder which ensures a velvety, smooth consistency in every color. Kaolin also produces a pastel devoid of hard bits and sharp edges, which might cause shiny spots or scratches during application. Made in Holland since 1900, Rembrandt pastels are very popular worldwide.
