Van Gogh Watercolors are considered a student grade line, but their color intensity, durability and tinting strength are all very good. They're appropriate for price-conscious artists at all levels. The Van Gogh line is made from top-quality raw materials by the Dutch manufacturer Talens. Among the 40 colors offered, most of the traditional watercolor pigments are found. Reliable alternatives for the more costly pigments allow a single price for all colors, and all but two of the colors carry Talens' highest lighfastness rating.
