We consider these the finest hog bristle brushes available anywhere. Named for our oil paints' boar logo, our new "Red Boar" brushes have seamless nickel-plated ferrules densely packed with top quality Chungking hog bristles. The natural flags of the bristles interlock for resilience and lasting brush shape. The "Red Boars" are softer than our Series 30 hog bristle brushes and have excellent spring. The extra large brushes, size 14 and up, are a terrific choice (and a great buy) for artists who do large work. The #22 Fan is an amazing brush-it's 3" across and quickly handles large blended areas. The Series 35-16 Fitches are a special section of our "Red Boar" brushes. A fitch brush is a diagonally angled brush (bearing no relation to the animal of the same name). Its unique shape allows a great variety of linework and mark making.
