Ettan MS-12C Press

Exceptional durability, light weight, clean and functional
Special alloys, superior bearings and innovative engineering help dissipate stress dynamically. Perhaps most unique is the Ettan printing bed, made of laminated phenolic resin. It is durable, flexible, has no memory and will not retain a warp, even with prolonged use.

The MS-12C is a rarity - a well-designed small press that gives precise, high-quality impressions from professional artists' plates. Made to the same stringent standards as the larger Etten presses, it has a 12" x 24" press bed and weighs only 40 lbs.

The large diameter of the upper roller (4") is unusual in small presses and minimizes bed/plate angle, providing a soft drive over the plate. It can be elevated up to 1-1/4" above the bed. The 2" lower roller, made of chromium/molybdenum steel is driven directly. Both rollers are supported by heavy-duty aircraft bearings, each rated at 25,000 lbs. The press is equipped with micrometric vernier guages for accurate registration of printing conditions, has a crank handle and is furnished with 2 felts, 1/4" and 1/16". Press Measures: 24" long x 15-1/2" wide x 9" high

Since being introduced to DANIEL SMITH materials in 2001, I have only two pigments left that aren’t DANIEL SMITH Watercolors! All my brushes are either Isabey or DANIEL SMITH 44 Series. The Isabey are for sentimental reasons only and don’t hold a point over time like the DANIEL SMITH.
