Dan Smith Autograph Series Mix Watermedia Brushes combine Kolinsky Red Sable, Russian Blue Squirrel and Russian Black Sable, along with small amounts of synthetic hair. You get all the benefits of the finest natural hairs for watercolor: the pointing and durability of Black Sable. Seamless, nickel-plated brass ferrules are rust-resistant. Enameled handles are planed on six sides for a comfortable grip and to prevent rolling.
Rounds have a large reservoir belly to supply the brush tip with color. Even the largest sizes maintain sharp points and their large bellies allow them to be used for mop techniques.
Flats have a thick belly that feeds a sharp painting edge to lay down smooth, even washes. They are well-priced alternatives to Kolinsky Sable wash brushes.
